Howrah Metro Station by AFCONS: Redefining India's underground infrastructure along the Ganga River

AFCONS – Howrah Metro Station is India’s biggest and deepest underground metro station, located along the Ganga River. The Godrej Interio Design & Build team worked meticulously to execute the Howrah Underground Metro Station, which is situated 33 meters below the Ganga River. This project is considered a precedent for future underground projects in the country. The train trials for the station commenced on 13th April 2023 and are expected to continue for several more months.

The Godrej Interio team was able to execute the project with zero incidents. The team successfully adhered to the client’s timelines while ensuring quality and safety standards were maintained throughout the project. The meticulous execution and strategic planning ensured that the project was completed efficiently, overcoming the tough conditions.
